Conference: Going Graphic
Comics & Graphic Novels For Young People


The 2009 IBBY UK/NCRCL MA conference will explore the developing interest in the graphic medium from a variety of perspectives, in addition to considering developments in the range and content of comics available to children and young people. Keynote speakers are Mel Gibson (University of Northumbria), Paul Gravett (author of definitive books on comics and graphic novels), Marcia Williams (author of graphic novels), David Fickling (publisher, including a recent comic for teenagers).
