Fifty Shades of Comics: The Erotic Imagination

Sex and comics make for a powerful combination. From the chic Italian fumetti of Guido Crepax to uncensored San Francisco undergrounds, the liberated Sixties and Seventies opened new opportunities for uninhibited adult comics about women and by women. Vanguard American comix artist Aline Crumb (Dirty Laundry, Need More Love, Drawn Together) and novelist Evie Blake (Valentina) reflect on the erotic in their work, then and now, with host Karrie Fransman (The House The Groaned).
