Comica ‘10 Exhibition: Graphic Short Story Prize

Posted: October 14, 2010

Another innovation for this year’s Comica Festival is an exhibition of the artwork by the winner, runner-up and commended finalists in the Observer/ Jonathan Cape/ Comica Graphic Short Story Prize. This year’s entries came to an impressive total of 279. The judging process is now underway and the winning 4-page story will be printed in The Observer newspaper on Sunday 7 November. Both this and the runner-up’s story will be viewable online, but this year, for the first time, visitors to Orbital Comics, 8 Great Newport Street, London WC2, only a minute from Leicester Square tube station, will be able to see the framed artworks by the very best entrants, on the walls of the Orbital Comics Gallery for free and open daily throughout November.

And once again, any entrants who post their graphic short stories on the internet are invited to send in the link to this website and we will compile a listing here, so that many more of the entries can also be enjoyed online. Good luck to everyone who entered and not long now till we discover who emerges as this year’s grand prize-winner!
