Free Tickets to Dave McKean Movie Screening & Q&A!

Posted: September 30, 2012

Soda Pictures have generously provided a limited quantity of pairs of free tickets to followers of Comica Festival like you for a special screening on Dave McKean’s film The Gospel of Us tomorrow night, Monday October 1st. The project involved a cast of thousands, a 3 day shoot, the most famous story of all time and only one take of each scene. Find out how Dave McKean did it.

Headlines were made around the world when Michael Sheen returned to his home of Port Talbot Wales in Easter 2011 to co-direct and star in The Passion, a one-off theatre production described by The Observer as “one of the outstanding theatrical events not only of this year, but of the decade”. This non-stop three-day production was woven into a 2-hour feature film by Dave McKean, whose visual artistry created a bold adaptation of one of the defining narratives of our times.

To celebrate the release on DVD and iTunes, The Gospel of Us will have a free screening in central London at 6pm, Monday 1st October, followed by a Q&A with the exceptionally talented director Dave McKean. Tickets are free but limited, so email your name right away, don’t delay, to press[@]sodapictures.com to secure a pair and you’ll be sent venue details. See you there!
