Upcoming Comica Events in April and May!

Posted: February 26, 2013

Here are some unmissable dates for your 2013 diary! Our second Spring Comiket Fair is coming up in less than two months on Saturday April 20th at an amazing new venue, Central Saint Martin’s fab new building just five minutes from King’s Cross. We’ll be taking over their Platform Theatre (below), Foyer (with great value Bar!) and Studio spaces, and possibly more. Booking details for exhibitors’ tables will follow soon, and we’re lining up another stellar Drawing Parade as well as other extra live comics-making happenings throughout the day. We’re also programming an afternoon of talks and panels, especially useful to aspiring comics creators, on the Friday afternoon of April 19th and an exciting launch and reception on the Friday evening.

Further ahead in May, Comica is programming the first Comica MangAsia Day celebrating manga from Japan and all kinds of comics from right across Asia as part of this year’s Asian Word Literary Festival, held in the three beautiful Fine Rooms, Mackwood’s Tearoom (below) and Studio of Asia House in New Canvendish Street, not far from the BBC and Oxford Circus. Talks, workshops, kamishibai theatre, cosplay demos and a MangaAsia Comiket room are among the many attractions on Saturday May 18th.
